You Can Stop Complaining By Doing This

We all do it, some more than others. Complaining is a negative that can seriously affect our lives.

There is one simple way to reverse course and stop the complaints before they leave our lips; try using gratitude. If someone annoys you, remind yourself of their good traits. If a situation is aggravating, find a positive. That’s all there is to it.

Going positive is tough since human nature makes it easier to go negative. It takes a little thought.

If you find yourself slipping thanks to another person starting the complaint train either speak up or walk away. Surrounding yourself with “happy” makes you…well…happy. We can’t change how other people think or act, but can sure control ourselves.

It’s great advice from Gretchen Rubin, author of “The Happiness Project.”
