VIRAL VIDEO: Special Day for a Special Boy!

Peyton Madden of El Dorado, Kansas, is your average 11-year-old boy, except for one thing: He has a rare genetic disease that makes him allergic to sunlight. The condition doesn’t allow Peyton’s skin to repair itself after exposed to the sun. This means that Peyton spends much of his time indoors, and when he does go outside during daylight hours, he has to wear protective clothing over every inch of his skin.

Well, the residents of El Dorado decided to get together and give him a fun day outside. They teamed up with National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) so they could create a special day for Peyton where the nightime became the daytime, and he got to play outside without any of his gear.

Peyton had no idea what was happening until he rode his bike into town and was greeted by every member of the community who had all shown up to give him a “day” that he would never forget. He got to ride his bike, swim in the pool, eat snacks, and, well, just be a regular kid.
