For the past eight years, 14-year-old Zack Francom has been selling lemonade and cookies to raise money to buy wheelchairs for kids in need. And his sales at “Zack’s Shack” have been good – he’s raised about $85,000 and has bought close to 400 wheelchairs for kids around the world.
But now, the teen is ready to pass the torch. Zack’s six-year-old little sister, Helen, has started her own lemonade stand, called “Helen’s Hut.” She’s going to take over the tradition of selling treats and drinks in front of the family home in Provo, Utah and raise money for more wheelchairs.“It was a good experience,” Zack says. “But I know that I’m leaving it in good hands.”
