New York Presbyterian Hospital has released a Spotify playlist with songs that have 100 beats per minute, the same beat for performing CPR. The playlist from NY Presbyterian is aimed at helping train first-responders to perform the life-saving heart resuscitation. Songs on the playlist include “Crazy In Love” by Beyonce, “Dancing Queen” by Abba, Missy Elliott’s “Work It,” and of course, the Bee Gees “Stayin’ Alive.”
Admittedly, there are some songs that are “inappropriate for the moment” but still work on the listing too; like Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust,” Norman Greenbaum’s “Spirit in the Sky” and Mariah Carey’s “Heartbreaker” featuring Jay Z.
There are 40 songs on the playlist and you can check them out HERE. If you’d like to be certified in performing CPR, contact the American Red Cross.
