Should You Make Your Bed In The Mornings or Not?

If you get grossed out really easy, we’re sorry…

Researchers are saying please don’t make your bed. Really. Pull the sheets back and leave the whole bed exposed. Why are we allowed to be such rebels after being told by Mom we had to make our beds? Dust mites.

If you make your bed, it gives them a toasty warm environment to thrive in. If you peel back the sheets, they will die within hours. All 1.5 million or so.

As Dr. Stephen Pretlove told the BBC, “We know that mites can only survive by taking in water from the atmosphere using small glands on the outside of their body. Something as simple as leaving a bed unmade during the day can remove moisture from the sheets and mattress so the mites will dehydrate and eventually die.”

Some experts disagree, but really who do we want to believe?
