Play-Doh is taking their exclusivity to the next level by trademarking their classic scent. You know, the scent that only can be described as “Play-Doh.”

The scent is described as a “unique scent formed through the combination of a sweet, slightly musky, vanilla-like fragrance, with slight overtones of cherry, and the natural smell of a salted, wheat-based dough.”

As a kid, we probably just described it as smelling “interesting,” but this works, too. There really is no arguing that the scent isn’t instantly recognizable, and it would be a shame to see someone cash in on the trademark memory of opening a bottle of Play-Doh and smelling that!
