OSSB Marching Band’s Trip to Chicago!

From June 30 – July 3rd, The Ohio State School for the Blind Marching Band went to Chicago for the Lions International Convention as the representative of Ohio in the Lions International parade!

While we were in Chicago:

Friday: We went to the Science and industry Museum and did a coal mine exhibit,  Then we went and had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. We then went and explored the Magnificent Mile of Chicago!

Saturday, (Parade Day): From 9:00 – 11:30am, we marched in the parade, then after the parade, we went to Lincoln Park Zoo, after the Zoo, we went and explored Millennium Park and got our picture taken at The Bean! after our Photo Op, we went and had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, and then we  free time at our hotel.

Sunday: We went and performed at the Field Museum and after we performed, we explored some of the museum and had lunch at the museum. After lunch at hem museum, We went to the Shedd Aquarium and saw an aquatic Show and explored the aquarium. After we were done at the aquarium, we went and had Chicago style pizza at Giordano’s Pizza (The Pizza was absolutely delicious!) Then, after dinner, we went and saw the Broadway show of Aladdin! (there are now words to describe how awesome it really was!)

Monday (departure day): We went and explored the Navy Pier, had lunch and then headed back home!
