Older Americans Are Satisfied With Their Life!

While most people dread the thought of getting older, it turns out it may not be so bad, at least if you believe people who are already up their in age.

A new survey by the AARP finds that 47% of people 18 to 39 think it’s “normal to be depressed when you are old,” but in reality only 10% of those 60 and over think old age is a “depressing stage of life.” In fact, in that age group, 67% say they are “satisfied or “very satisfied” with life, while only 61% of those 18 to 39 and 60% of those 40 to 59 say the same.

Interestingly, the one area of life older people may feel negatively about is being consumers. The survey finds that 68% of people feel older customers are not served well by the fashion industry, while 62% say the same about technology, 58% about sports and 55% about entertainment.
