Most of Us In The U.S. Are Living Paycheck to Paycheck!

While the economy seems to be picking up, there are still plenty of people who aren’t feeling the effects of it. According to a new poll by CareerBuilder, a lots of folks in this country are still struggling with most people not making enough money to live comfortably.

The survey finds that 78% of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck, which is a 3% increase from last year. Of those folks, 38% of workers say they sometimes live paycheck-to-paycheck, while 17% usually do and 23% say they always do.

And having more money doesn’t make you exempt from financial issues. In fact, 9% of those making $100,000 say they usually or always live paycheck-to-paycheck, with 59% of those folks in debt. Of course, that’s not nearly as high a number as those making less than $50,000, with 51% of them living paycheck-to-paycheck and 73% in debt.

Debt is actually a huge issue for most people, with 71% of all workers saying they are in debt, with 56% of those folks admitting they feel like they will always be in debt. But regardless of that debt, there are some expenses that folks just don’t want to give up, including:

• Internet connection: 54%

• Mobile device (smart phone, tablet, etc.): 53%

• Driving: 48%

• Pets: 37%

• Cable: 21%

• Going out to eat: 19%

• Traveling: 17%

• Education: 13%

• Buying gifts for people: 13%

• Alcohol: 11%
