A few years ago, I decided I wanted to go into Radio Broadcasting and follow in my grandfathers footsteps, in July of 16′ I started my first day at The Ohio Media School in Columbus. With only eight classmates total, my class was extremely small considering the typical college class sizes. Our first block of classes we’re focused solely on Radio production and how it works. Our second class block was the beginning of Video production and how that works, in that block we did our 15 second Ohio Media School commercials and our 10 minute newscast, our “How to fail an interview” video Our third class block was focused on building our websites and some smaller video projects. Our fourth class block was more radio production stuff and creating a fictional radio station with a budget of two million dollars for the building, equipment, etc. that was a fun project to do! now on to our fifth class block, in this block, we created our class mini-movie (can be found here) and our music Video! (can be found here) and some other small (but cool) projects! and last but certainly not least, our sixth and final class block! In this block, we did our 30 minute Newscast! (can be found here).
I’ve made some great friends along the way too! The July Days 2016 class is a great group of people!
Thank you so much to the people in the above picture for making this experience so much better!
