Having A Sense Of Purpose Can Make You Sleep Better!

New research from Northwestern University finds that people who have a purpose in life tend to sleep more soundly. The subjects in the study were all elderly but researchers think the findings could apply to people of all ages.

They propose helping people find their own purpose as an alternative to drugs for sleeping through the night.

Experts advise these steps to better sleep as well: go to bed and rise at the same time every day; establish a bedtime routine; and cut out caffeine, alcohol and nicotine in the evening. Not eating a heavy meal late at night; avoiding exercise before bed; cutting out daytime naps and banning TVs and computers from the bedroom.
