Facebook Aims To Slam The Door On Terrorists!

The social media giant is responding to calls for closer regulation of the Internet after this weekend’s terrorist attacks in London. Facebook director of policy Simon Milner said yesterday the platform works “aggressively” to remove terrorist content.

Milner said, “We want Facebook to be a hostile environment for terrorists. U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May said earlier yesterday that the Internet and “big companies” that provide Internet-based services give terrorist ideology what she called the “safe space” it needs to breed. May’s words now bring the government closer to the “free speech conundrum”: How much can be taken away?

Last month Mark Zuckerberg announced the hiring of three thousand employees tasked with scrubbing extremists from the site.
